On my life, this lady is amazing! Absolutely fantastic – and yes, I bought my wedding dress from her! ❤️

I honestly cannot recommend Lisa highly enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, kind and, most importantly, she really listens.

I'd found wedding dress shopping much harder than I expected. I'm not a standard shape or size, I have a large chest, and I needed quite a lot from my dress – proper structure and support, something beautiful and bridal, but also something practical enough that I can still pick up my toddler! I'd visited several bridal shops and had very mixed experiences before finding Lisa.

We aren't local to her at all. A friend actually found Lisa because she stocked a particular dress I wanted to try, so initially I went there purely for that one dress and had only booked a quick appointment.

That dress ultimately wasn't right – but Lisa immediately started listening to why it wasn't right and suggesting alternatives that genuinely addressed what I was saying. That was the point I realised how good she was at what she does.

She invited me back for a proper appointment, even sourced another dress I'd been interested in so that I could see it in a different colour, and has been unbelievably patient while I've worked through exactly what I wanted. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble and I never felt pressured into making a decision.

But the biggest testament to Lisa's skill is the dress I eventually bought.

She picked it.

I wouldn't have picked it off the rail. I wouldn't even have looked at it. In fact, when she held it up and asked if I wanted to try it, I was considerably less than enthusiastic 😂

Then I put it on.

It was my dress. ❤️

She'd listened so carefully to everything I'd said that she could see what would work for me when I couldn't see it myself. It gave me the structure and support I needed, had the beautiful details I'd been looking for and just felt completely right.

Very early on, I remember saying that whatever happened, I wanted to buy my dress from Lisa. I'd been elsewhere, tried goodness knows how many dresses and met plenty of people along the way, but nobody made me feel as listened to or understood as she did. I'm absolutely thrilled that ultimately it was Lisa who found me the one.

There really is something to be said for finding someone who isn't simply selling wedding dresses but genuinely knows gowns, bodies and brides – and Lisa absolutely does.

Thank you so much for your patience, your perseverance and for putting up with all my indecisiveness 😂 You are genuinely amazing at what you do, and I couldn't be happier that my dress came from you.

Wow! I’m speechless at the sheer perfection of this shop. Lisa is so knowledgeable and makes you feel at ease as soon as you walk through the door, she takes your wants into consideration whilst also offering expert advice on what she thinks will suit you and your body.

I had my mind set on a dress and she immediately got it for me to try on, she didn’t let me see until it was on properly and she reassured me on sizing and what works for me. She made me feel so beautiful and gorgeous and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to get my dress from. I said yes to the dress and I couldn’t be happier. I had such a lovely experience at the The Bridal Affair for my first dress fitting appointment. Lisa was so welcoming, involved and informative, and made me feel completely at ease throughout my appointment.

I had such an incredible experience at The Bridal Affair today! I could not recommend it more! Lisa was so lovely and welcoming from our arrival and immediately put me at ease. After a not so good experience previously at a different bridal shop I was very nervous but my experience at The Bridal Affair could not have been more different. I was able to try on a range of dresses and getting in and out of them was so smooth and effortless! I ended up saying yes to the dress (the first one I tried on!) Just been with my daughter to pick up her wedding dress. From start to finish this has been an amazing experience. Lisa was so knowledgeable and extremely helpful. This was our 4th visit.
We initially chose the dress from a wide selection of beautiful gowns.
The second visit was when my daughter had a panic and was having doubts about the dress. Lisa promptly arranged another appointment for us and this confirmed that the dress was absolutely the right choice.
The 3rd  appointment, nearer to the wedding date, was to order the dress in the correct size and colour.
Today was beautiful. To see my daughter in the dress of her dreams. We couldn't have done it without Lisa's help, advice and kindness.

I absolutely love Lisa and the Bridal Affair!

We first met Lisa at York Racecourse Wedding Fair, and I'd seen her previously at another small wedding fair. We got chatting and you could immediately tell she was passionate and knowledgeable about everything wedding related.

On my first appointment with her to find a dress,  I was initially quite anxious about trying them on. Lisa very quickly put me at ease, and she instilled me with so much confidence that the entire time we were there I couldn't stop smiling!

The entire process has been a joy, and I've found an absolutely stunning wedding dress that I can't wait to wear.

I visited The Bridal Affair having been to a few other shops but hadn’t been able to find the perfect dress. I was fairly sure of what I wanted but after trying a few dresses I just wasn’t getting the feeling of ‘the one’. Lisa was amazing, so patient and really considered everything we said. She then asked if I had tried a certain style which I hadn’t, I’d been sure from the outset it wasn't what I wanted.
Lisa encouraged me to try a dress just to be able to definitively discount it, and as soon as she pulled back the curtain, there weee tears all round.
