Bridal alterations after choosing your dress

Most wedding dresses require some level of alteration. This is completely normal. Bridal gowns are usually ordered to the closest standard size and then carefully fitted to your individual shape during the alterations process.

Your seamstress may adjust the bodice, refine the straps or sleeves, alter the hem to suit your wedding shoes, create a bustle for the train, improve the neckline or back fit, add a modesty panel, or make small custom changes to help the dress feel more personal to you.

Are alterations included in the price of my dress?

Alterations are not included in the price of your wedding dress unless specifically stated. This is because every bride, every dress and every alteration requirement is different.

Your seamstress will discuss your individual requirements with you and provide guidance on pricing, timings and the number of fittings needed. All alteration costs are arranged directly between you and your chosen seamstress.
